The Evolution of Pharmacy at the Royal Adelaide Hospital

Dr. Chris Doecke, BPharm PhD, has kindly allowed us to use his recent presentation to the Society.

Dr. Doecke is the Director of the Pharmacy Services at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) and an Associate Professor in the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at the University of South Australia. Apart from his teaching and Departmental commitments, he has been responsible for many new advancements in delivering information and advice to his patients. His Department provides information about the use and appropriate dosages of the drugs his patients use as well as facilitating communication to primary health care providers as patients transition from hospital back to the community.

His presentation is in a slide format and deals with the general history of Pharmacy in Adelaide and information about the early Pharmacists at the RAH.
